A family in Belarus has taken in five swans, including one named Grisha, after rescuing them from injury. The birds, now recovering in the Shyshlankouskis' yard, have faced health struggles but are slowly improving. Their carer, Liubou Iosifauna, provides daily meals and medical attention to help them heal.

Grisha was found in Zhlobin last winter with frostbitten legs and wings. Veterinarian Ryhor Bialiahou performed surgery and nursed the bird back to health. Since December 29, 2025, the swan has lived with Liubou Iosifauna's family.

At first, Grisha and the other swans refused to eat due to stress. Now, they accept meals of oats, barley, wheat, mixed grain, and vegetables. Among the group, Nyusha and Vanyusha have damaged feathers but remain in good health overall. Another swan, Glafira, suffers from a wing injury that may prevent her from flying. Iosifauna hopes that after further treatment, Glafira will regain the ability to walk on her other leg.

The swans continue to recover under the care of the Shyshlankouskis family. Grisha's successful rehabilitation has encouraged hopes for Glafira's mobility. With proper feeding and medical support, the birds are gradually regaining strength.
