Design Infinity hits 1M safe work hours on Maudsley Health Project
Design Infinity has achieved a major safety milestone on the Maudsley Health Project. The company completed one million consecutive man-hours without a single lost time incident. The accomplishment was reached at midday on 5 May 2026. The project stands as one of the firm’s largest healthcare interior fit-outs to date. Geetha Nayak, a managing partner, highlighted its significance for Design Infinity.
Akhil Sundar, the HSE manager, stated that the success came from every individual on site taking responsibility for their own safety and that of others. Imran Khan, senior project manager, credited the firm’s safety-first culture for the result. Pratap Mendonca, another managing partner, echoed this, attributing the achievement to the collective focus on safety.
Daily toolbox talks, regular site-wide audits, near-miss reporting, and a behavioural safety programme formed the core of their approach. The company expressed gratitude to the client team, project management, subcontractors, and all site workers for their professionalism and dedication. Design Infinity has pledged to maintain and improve its safety standards for the rest of the project. The milestone underscores the effectiveness of its rigorous safety measures. The firm remains committed to ensuring a secure working environment for all involved.
