Novorossiysk transforms Medical Workers Square with green, modern upgrades

Novorossiysk has begun renovating Medical Workers Square as part of a wider national project. The work forms one of 124 public space upgrades planned across the region by 2026. Old structures have already been removed to make way for the changes. The square will see new recreational areas and a children’s playground added. Pedestrian paths will be separated from leisure zones to improve flow and safety. A modern lighting system and new bike paths will also be installed.

Existing trees will remain, and more greenery will be planted. Small architectural features will enhance the space. The entire renovation is expected to finish this autumn. The project is part of the Infrastructure for Life initiative. It aims to modernise public spaces and improve quality of life for residents. Medical Workers Square will be one of many upgraded areas in the coming years.
