Lünen's Care Fair Lets Visitors Walk a Mile in a Senior's Shoes

A market stand in Lünen provided information on care options for the public on May 8. The event was organised by the Day Care Working Group and Senior Services Coordination Office. Attendees could explore various aspects of daily care through interactive activities and expert advice. Visitors had the chance to experience a walker obstacle course designed to simulate daily life in day care. This hands-on activity gave them a better understanding of the challenges and routines faced by those in care.

Representatives from different care facilities were available to answer questions at the stand. Many attendees took the opportunity to speak directly with experts about their personal concerns and needs.

The Unna District Health Kiosk and Care and Housing Advisory Service offered one-on-one consultations. Additionally, seated exercise sessions were held for visitors to join in and experience first-hand. The event allowed people to learn about care services in a practical and engaging way. Information was shared through discussions, activities, and demonstrations. Organisers aimed to make the topic more accessible to the community.
