Kamchatka's Free Mobile Clinics Bring Health Checks to Workers and Students

Specialists from the Kamchatka Regional Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention have conducted free on-site medical checks for local workers. They also delivered health lectures to students at a secondary school. These services are part of a state-backed programme to promote public well-being. A team of health experts recently visited JSC Southern Electric Networks of Kamchatka. There, they performed medical examinations for 79 employees. The checks were carried out by mobile medical units equipped for diagnostic and laboratory tests.

At Nagornenskaya Secondary School, four preventive lectures took place. Around 70 students attended sessions on the risks of smoking, alcohol, and drug use. Topics also included healthy nutrition for both children and adults.

All services, including the lectures and medical tests, are free under the state health preservation programme. To access the mobile unit, individuals need a passport, a compulsory health insurance policy, and a pension insurance number. Requests for a mobile unit visit can be made through the MAX messenger. For scheduling a lecture, a phone number is provided for bookings. The initiative offers free health support to the community. Local residents can now access medical tests and educational talks without charge. The programme aims to improve public health through direct services and awareness.
