Yakutia Launches Mental Wellbeing Week to Combat Stress and Stigma
Yakutia has launched Mental Wellbeing Week to align with International Stress Awareness Week. The initiative aims to raise awareness about mental health and offer support to those experiencing stress. Residents are encouraged to take part and focus on their psychological wellbeing. The primary focus of Mental Wellbeing Week is to emphasise the importance of mental health care. Organisers want to ensure people facing stress have access to the help they need.
The Yakut Psychoneurological Dispensary provides a free, anonymous helpline for psychological and medical support. It operates daily from 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM at 8-800-222-1407 and 8-4112-507967. For urgent psychiatric medical support, a 24/7 crisis hotline is available at 8-924-560-29-68.
The helpline offers immediate phone-based counselling, expert advice, and confidential discussions. This ensures residents can access assistance whenever they need it most. The Yakutia Ministry of Health has called on all residents to participate in Mental Wellbeing Week. Free and confidential support is now accessible through dedicated helplines. The initiative seeks to provide timely help and reduce the stigma around mental health issues.
