Dubai's New Surgical Training Hub Opens at Science Park

MedLab Training Institute has opened a new surgical training facility at Dubai Science Park. The centre aims to become a regional hub for advanced surgical education. It will support between 1,000 and 1,500 healthcare professionals each year. The facility offers structured, hands-on programmes for continuous professional development. Dr. Bilal El-Yafawi, CEO of MedLab, highlighted its role in providing practical training for healthcare workers.

Programmes cover specialities such as orthopaedics, spine surgery, sports surgery, and maxillofacial procedures. Training is led by international and regional experts in the field.

The centre features cadaveric training laboratories, advanced audiovisual systems, and dedicated teaching spaces. Cadaveric training forms the core of its educational approach.

Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park, noted that the facility enhances clinical skills. He added that it supports improved patient care outcomes in the region.

MedLab plans to expand its programme portfolio over the next two to three years. It also intends to strengthen partnerships with healthcare institutions during this period. The new facility is now operational at Dubai Science Park. It is expected to play a key role in advancing surgical training across the region. The institute’s expansion will increase access to specialised education for medical professionals.
