Panvel to honor organ donors in grand Dindi ceremony on July 2

The Panvel Municipal Corporation and DOST will host a felicitation and flag-off ceremony for the 12th Organ Donation and Health Services Dindi on July 2, 2026. The event aims to raise awareness about organ donation and encourage community participation in healthcare initiatives. The ceremony will take place at the Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Auditorium in Panvel. It is scheduled to run from 10 am to 2 pm on the day of the event.

Panvel MLA Prashant Thakur will attend as the chief guest, with Mangesh Chitale presiding over the occasion. Ali Mudabbir, Chairman of White Lotus International Hospital, and Milind Hirve will join as special guests. Ramdas Maharaj More, former president of the Sant Shri Tukaram Maharaj Sansthan, will deliver the keynote address.

Several individuals will receive the Dindi Award during the event. Among them are Panvel Mayor Nitin Patil and K. C. Luthia, former Director General of Health Services for Maharashtra. The civic body has urged citizens to attend in large numbers and support the initiative. The event seeks to promote positive healthcare messages and social responsibility through the annual pilgrimage tradition.
