Free sustainable cooking course teaches climate-friendly kitchen habits in Neuwied

The Neuwied District Adult Education Center is hosting a free course on sustainable cooking. Titled 'Climate-Friendly Cooking', it will take place on October 16 at the ASL in Linkenbach. The session begins at 5 p.m. and aims to help participants adopt eco-friendly habits in the kitchen. Brigitte Lange, a qualified nutrition and home economics specialist, will lead the course. She will be joined by Janine Sieben, the district’s climate protection manager. Together, they will teach attendees how to use regional and seasonal ingredients in their meals.

The course will also focus on reducing meat and fish consumption. Participants will learn energy-efficient cooking methods and techniques to cut down preparation time. Easy, tasty, and varied recipes using natural ingredients will be demonstrated.

While the course itself is free, a €7 fee for ingredients will be charged. This amount is payable directly to Brigitte Lange on the day. The session promises practical ways to make cooking more sustainable. Attendees will leave with new recipes and methods to apply at home. The course fee covers only the cost of ingredients, keeping it accessible for all.
