Germany's 2025 height and weight data reveals age-driven trends

New data reveals the average height and weight of people in Germany in 2025. The figures show slight changes in weight but little variation in height over recent years. Different age groups display noticeable differences in both measurements. Across Germany, the average person stands at 1.73 metres and weighs 78.3 kilograms. Men average 1.79 metres in height and 86.5 kilograms in weight, while women average 1.66 metres and 69.7 kilograms.

The tallest group is adults aged 18 to 24, with an average height of 1.75 metres. The shortest are those aged 75 and older, averaging 1.68 metres. Weight also varies by age: adults aged 50 to 59 are the heaviest at 81.3 kilograms, while the lightest are those aged 18 to 24, at 72.5 kilograms.

Since 2017, the average height of adults has stayed almost the same. However, the average weight has risen slightly over the same period. The 2025 figures confirm stability in height trends but a gradual increase in weight among German adults. Age remains a key factor in variations across both measurements.
