UAE Federal Youth Authority and Erada Centre Partner to Empower Youth in Addiction Recovery

UAE Youth Authority and Erada Centre unite to combat addiction and boost mental health

A new partnership has been formed between the Federal Youth Authority (FYA) and the Erada Centre for Treatment and Rehabilitation. The agreement aims to strengthen mental health support and addiction prevention. It was officially signed by FYA Director Khalid Mohammed Al Nuaimi and Erada Centre CEO Abdulrazaq Ameri. The collaboration will focus on joint training programmes, workshops, and awareness campaigns. These efforts target mental health and addiction prevention for young people. Both organisations will work together to create opportunities for volunteering, training, and community engagement for Erada Centre beneficiaries.

An Erada Centre Youth Council will also be established. This will allow young people to influence the Centre’s services and work environment. The agreement treats recovery as a starting point for participation rather than a final goal.

The initiative supports the UAE’s National Youth Agenda 2031, particularly its Quality of Life pillar. It also reflects the country’s broader push for cross-sector partnerships and sustainable solutions. The partnership between FYA and Erada Centre will expand support for mental health and recovery. It will provide structured programmes and a platform for youth involvement. The agreement aligns with national priorities and strengthens community-based approaches to rehabilitation.
