Primorye Territory unveils 14 new outdoor fitness zones by September

The Primorye Territory is expanding its outdoor sports facilities with 14 new locations by September. Vladivostok will host eight of these, including sites at Patrokl, FEFU campus, and the upgraded Kirov Street promenade. The initiative aims to make fitness more accessible across the region. The first outdoor sports facility in the Primorye Territory opened in May. Since then, additional sites have been planned for cities like Artyom, Ussuriysk, and Nakhodka, as well as residential and high-traffic urban areas.

The equipment features anti-corrosion coatings for durability in harsh climates. It also includes adjustable resistance systems to suit all fitness levels. The design prioritises durability, modern aesthetics, and ergonomics for outdoor use.

Governor Oleg Kozhemyako highlighted the project’s focus on inclusivity. He stated that the facilities cater to people with disabilities and all residents. He also stressed that developing mass sports and accessible infrastructure remains a key priority for the region.

Sberbank’s Primorsky Branch is supporting the initiative as a financial partner. Sergey Yurchenko, the branch head, noted the bank’s role in funding both housing and social infrastructure expansion in Primorye. By September 1, all 14 outdoor sports facilities will be operational. The new zones will provide durable, adaptable equipment for public use. The project aligns with regional goals to improve fitness access for everyone.
