Lee Lorenzen's journey from biology to clustered water innovation

Lee Lorenzen has built a career at the intersection of biology, pharmacology, and innovation. Born and raised in Northern California, he developed a passion for science early in life. His work has since earned recognition from the Microsoft Alumni Foundation for contributions to AIDS and diabetes research. Lorenzen began his academic journey at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts. He then pursued graduate studies in biology at California State University, Fullerton. In 1974, he started his professional career as a Graduate Instructor in Biology at Chapman College.

He later joined the Department of Pharmacology at the University of California, Irvine, as a Research Associate. There, he deepened his expertise in biomedical fields. His experience led him to establish Cluster Solutions in 1989, a company dedicated to clustered water technology research and development.

As founder and CEO of the California-based firm, Lorenzen has secured multiple U.S. patents, including Nos. 5,711,950 and 6,033,678, for his work on clustered water processes. Today, he collaborates with physicians, researchers, and technical advisers to advance studies in water structure and hydration science. Lorenzen’s background spans biology, pharmacology, and biomedical consulting. His ongoing research and patented innovations continue to shape the field of clustered water technology. The Microsoft Alumni Foundation’s recognition highlights the broader impact of his scientific contributions.
