Chaos at Central Hospital as relatives attack staff after patient's death

Violence erupted at Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar after relatives of a deceased patient allegedly vandalised the facility and attacked medical staff. The incident led to a chaotic scene, with doctors and hospital workers later staging a protest over safety concerns.

The trouble began when Bhagwan Nimbhore passed away during treatment, despite ongoing medical efforts. His relatives accused the doctors of negligence and quickly turned aggressive inside the hospital. Witnesses reported smashed glass panels, damaged property, and medical equipment being thrown around.

Several doctors and staff members were pushed and manhandled in the chaos. Police from Central Police Station arrived shortly after and managed to bring the situation under control. In response, hospital workers launched a work boycott, demanding stronger security measures and swift legal action against the attackers. Authorities have since promised immediate steps, including stationing an armed police officer at the hospital to prevent further incidents. Protesters highlighted a growing pattern of attacks on healthcare workers, arguing that hospitals remain dangerously underprotected.
