Robert Grabner is preparing for his second Everesting challenge to support mental health. This year, he aims to climb the Glorietteallee 111 times in 24 hours. His effort will raise funds for Pro Mente, a mental health organisation. In 2021, Grabner completed 88 ascents of the same route in 20 hours. He covered 8,848 metres of elevation, matching the height of Mount Everest. That first challenge raised €8,000 for Pro Mente.

His 2022 attempt begins at midnight on June 28. The route starts at the entrance to Schlosspark and finishes at the Gloriette’s restaurant, the Alm. Grabner hopes for hot weather, as rain would make the descent treacherous. The event will again support Pro Mente through donations. Grabner’s goal is to complete all 111 ascents within the 24-hour window. Supporters can follow his progress on the day of the challenge.
