Dormagen Offers Free Walker Training for Seniors on March 2
A free walker training session will take place in Dormagen on Monday, March 2. Organised by the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council, the event aims to help older residents use their mobility aids safely and confidently. The eventbrite session runs from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Hackenbroich Community Center. Attendees will learn about walker safety, correct usage, and how to board city buses with their devices. A team of experts will also check personal walkers on-site to ensure proper adjustment and functionality. Transport to the events near me is free for all participants. A shuttle service will cover every district in Dormagen, making it easier for residents to attend. The initiative is a joint effort by Salgert Medical Supply, Senior Citizens' Representative Monika Brockers, Stadtbus GmbH, and the police traffic safety division. Those interested must register in advance. Bookings can be made by calling Johanna Afa at 02133 257 3041. The training offers practical support for walker users at no cost. Both the session and shuttle service are free, removing barriers for participants. Organisers encourage eligible residents to sign up before the event fills up.
