Drink Purple and Nature's Own supplements recalled over safety risks

A recall has been issued for Drink Purple immune-support supplements due to potential fermentation problems. The affected products may contain excess alcohol and carbonation, which could cause illness or injury if consumed. The manufacturer, Mama Nayture Pty Ltd, has identified the issue in specific batches sold across NSW, Queensland, and online. The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) also announced separate recalls for Nature’s Own Glucosamine Sulfate with Chondroitin (320-pack) and Nature’s Own Magnesium Glycinate 1150mg (300-pack). These products were flagged due to possible glass fragments, posing a risk of cuts when handled or harm if swallowed.

The Drink Purple recall affects 60ml and 350ml bottles from batch number 23716, with an expiry date of May 30, 2027. Unintended fermentation may cause the liquid to taste sour, appear fizzy, or release pressure when opened. Consumers are warned not to drink or open the affected bottles and to dispose of them safely. The recalls cover products sold in health food stores and online. The TGA advises consumers to check their purchases and follow disposal instructions. Both the fermentation and glass fragment issues present clear risks to health and safety.
