Firefighters rescue 350 kg teacher in midnight emergency operation

A 40-year-old teacher weighing 350 kg was rushed to the general hospital near me after falling seriously ill at home. Firefighters were called to assist when his condition worsened in the early hours of the morning. The man had been suffering from a fever for over a week before the emergency unfolded.

The incident began when the teacher's wife contacted the Fire and Rescue Department at 2.56 am. A team arrived at the scene in Alor Gajah by 3.08 am, finding the man in a weakened state inside the bathroom. His bacterial leg infection and asthma had left him in severe pain and unable to move easily.

Eight firefighters worked together to carefully extract him from the confined space. The operation took around 20 minutes due to the tight area and his size. Once freed, he was transported to Alor Gajah Hospital in a fire department vehicle for urgent treatment.

The teacher had been on medical leave, battling illness at home. His prolonged fever, combined with the infection and breathing difficulties, had made his situation critical before help arrived.
