A new mental health awareness campaign is set to launch in Frauenfeld. Organised by the local Youth Council, the initiative aims to encourage open discussions about mental wellbeing among young people. The project also marks the completion of a wider UNICEF programme in the area.

The campaign will roll out on February 9, 2026, with eight specially designed posters. Each one carries uplifting messages, and parts of them can be torn off for people to keep. These posters will appear in schools, training centres, and municipal buildings across the town.

Alongside the posters, postcards and stickers will help spread the campaign's reach. The materials were developed with input from Stephanie Karrer, a psychologist at Fühlsch, a local counselling service. The Youth Council hopes the initiative will make mental health support feel more accessible to adolescents.

The project builds on previous efforts by the council to address youth wellbeing. By placing resources in high-traffic public spaces, organisers want to ensure the messages reach as many young people as possible.

The campaign will run in public venues from early February. Its focus on positive affirmations and practical takeaways aims to reduce stigma around mental health. The Youth Council's partnership with UNICEF and local experts highlights the community's commitment to supporting young people's emotional needs.
