A new initiative called "Transforming Yourself" has been launched in Syktyvkar, the capital of the Komi Republic, aimed at addressing parental burnout, the press service of the republic's Ministry of Labor reports. The program was announced by specialists from the city's Family and Children's Social Support Center during a live Q&A session at the public reception office of the head of Komi.
The nine-week course consists of weekly 90-minute sessions held in the evenings in an informal setting, incorporating elements of art therapy and psychological relief. According to organizers, the program is open to all interested women, with participation voluntary and free of charge.
"It's crucial to prevent reaching a breaking point where medical intervention and medication become necessary," said social worker Yekaterina Tsurkanu. "Our center focuses on early-stage prevention to help avoid an emotional meltdown."
Last year, 14 city residents successfully completed the program. Those interested in joining the new cohort can register by calling 8 (8212) 22-22-82 or visiting the "Family" branch at 13 Malysheva Street.
