Haleon recalls Gas-X softgels over chemical contamination risks

Haleon has issued a recall for four lots of Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels due to potential chemical contamination. The affected products were distributed on or around April 13 and pose a risk of adverse health effects.

The contamination stems from a machine leakage during the packaging process. Haleon has since identified and fixed the issue, putting corrective measures in place to prevent further problems.

The recall covers 125 mg softgels sold in 120-count and 72-count bottles. These products carry specific lot numbers and an expiration date of November 30, 2028. Consumers who ingest contaminated capsules may experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or diarrhoea. Haleon is contacting distributors and customers to arrange returns of all recalled products. So far, the company has not received any reports of adverse events linked to this issue.

Customers are advised to stop using the recalled Gas-X softgels immediately. Haleon is offering return and reimbursement for affected products, ensuring the issue is addressed without further risk to consumers.
