Hawaii Pacific Health reshuffles leadership with two key promotions
Hawaii Pacific Health has announced two key leadership changes. Mathew Loughlin, a long-serving employee, has been promoted to chief risk officer. Meanwhile, Nhelda Aguda steps into his former role as vice president of hospital operations at Pali Momi.
Mathew Loughlin first joined Hawaii Pacific Health in 2001 as a graduate nurse in the emergency department. Over the years, he took on multiple positions, including ED charge nurse, hospital house supervisor, and manager of patient flow. In 2016, he moved into risk management before now becoming chief risk officer.
Nhelda Aguda replaces Loughlin as vice president of hospital operations at Pali Momi. She brings 25 years of nursing experience, with 15 of those in leadership roles. Most recently, she served as director of patient care services at the same hospital.
Loughlin's promotion marks a shift from his previous role overseeing Pali Momi's operations. Aguda's appointment fills that vacancy, bringing extensive nursing and leadership experience to the position. Both changes reflect internal advancements within Hawaii Pacific Health.
