Heidelberg University will host its annual Univitality Health Week from 29th September to 2nd October 2025. The event offers students and staff a mix of talks, screenings, and activities focused on heart health. Daily sessions will cover exercise, nutrition, and emergency skills like CPR training. The week kicks off on 29th September with a talk by Janik Meyer on Foundations of Heart Health at 11:30 AM. The next day, Prof. Dr. Simon Steib will discuss Exercise as Medicine at the same time. On 1st October, Rebecca Steiner will share nutrition advice for a healthy heart, followed by Mona Henz’s session on relaxation techniques on 2nd October.

Participants can also join daily cardiovascular screenings from 8 AM to 5 PM at three university sites. Physical activities include Pilates, full-body workouts, and rope skipping, alongside guided walks and beginner running courses. CPR training will run every day from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Zeughaus-Mensa in the Marstall. All events are organised by University Health Management, with both online and in-person options available.

The Univitality Health Week aims to provide practical tools for improving heart health. Screenings, expert talks, and fitness sessions will run throughout the four-day event. Students and employees are encouraged to attend any of the free activities.
