A 38-year-old man from Sochi was injured while hiking in Agura Gorge. He slipped while jumping between rocks and fell onto the stones, hurting his leg and back. Rescuers later found him near the lower Agura Waterfall. The incident began as the man and his companion descended the Agura Waterfalls. During the descent, the victim lost his footing and fell. His companion landed on top of him, worsening the injuries.
Rescuers located the pair near the lower waterfall. They carried the injured man on a stretcher along the trail to Kavkazsky Aul. This marks the ninth rescue operation in Agura Gorge since January. Authorities advise hikers to prepare thoroughly before setting out. They recommend studying the trail, downloading offline maps, and checking elevation changes. Carrying fully charged phones and power banks is also advised. In emergencies, the public can call 112 or +7 (862) 268-03-03 for assistance.
