Journalist Jo Failer shares raw truth about early-onset Alzheimer’s in new book

Journalist Jo Failer will present his new book, I Won’t Forget: A Living Legacy, on May 5, 2026, at Fürth’s adult education center. Failer, a divorced father of two young children, has worked as an editor for Schwäbische Zeitung and as a journalist for Sat.1’s ran sports programme. His career took an unexpected turn when he received an early-onset Alzheimers diagnosis. The book reflects on his experiences, blending honesty with moments of joy despite the disease’s challenges.

The reading will begin at 7 p.m. in the bistro of the Volkshochschule at Hirschenstraße 27/29. Failer has also shared his story on the Fifty Fearless Fabulous podcast, discussing fatherhood and memory loss.
