Komi Science Center opens its labs for Russian Science Day celebrations
The Komi Science Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences will open its doors in February for Open House Days. The events mark the annual celebration of Russian Science Day. Visitors of all ages will have the chance to explore cutting-edge research and rare exhibits.
The programme kicks off on February 5 at the Institute of Physiology. Guests can tour laboratories, take part in psychophysiological tests, and attend a lecture on the heart's electrical activity.
On February 6, the same institute will host more activities. These include visits to the Cardiac Cellular Electrophysiology Lab, talks on sports nutrition, and discussions about the role of atoms in health.
The final two days, February 10 and 11, will feature additional lab tours, artifact displays, and interactive workshops. Leading scientists will also deliver lectures on cardiac physiology and its broader connections to health.
The Open House Days welcome families, school groups, and anyone curious about science. The events offer a rare opportunity to engage directly with researchers and see their work first-hand. No prior registration or scientific background is required to attend.
