Krasnodar's historic hospital celebrates 210 years of healing

Krasnodar's Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1, named after Professor Stanislav Ochapovsky, celebrates its 210th anniversary today. The hospital's staff received congratulations on social media from Krasnodar's mayor, Yevgeny Naumov.

"My deepest gratitude to every member of the hospital team for their compassion and outstanding professionalism. Thousands of lives saved are only possible thanks to the grueling yet noble work of doctors. The people here are the hospital's greatest pride. Through their skill, dedication, and relentless pursuit of excellence, Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 saves the most critical patients, helps children and adults alike, and brings hope and health to the people of our region," Yevgeny Naumov said.

The hospital was founded in 1816. Later, its ophthalmology department was led by physician Stanislav Ochapovsky, after whom the institution is now named. After World War II, the hospital was granted regional clinical status. Since 2004, it has been headed by Vladimir Porhanov, a distinguished surgeon, Hero of Labor of Russia, and academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
