L-Nutra Secures $36.5M to Expand Therapy-Based Nutrition in Abu Dhabi
L-Nutra, a Los Angeles-based nutrition technology company, has secured a fresh $36.5 million investment in its latest funding round. The deal, led by Abu Dhabi's Mubadala, pushes the firm's Series D total to $83.5 million. The company specialises in developing therapy-based nutrition to extend human healthspan and combat chronic diseases.
Founded to bridge nutrition and medicine, L-Nutra has built its work on scientific research into longevity and therapeutic diets. Over the years, the firm has completed 47 clinical trials and holds 137 patents for its innovations. Its programs focus on designing, discovering, and commercialising nutrition solutions aimed at improving health outcomes.
The new funding will support a joint operation with Mubadala in Abu Dhabi. This partnership aims to produce therapy-based nutrition and longevity-focused products for markets across the Middle East and North Africa. Joseph Antoun, L-Nutra's chairman and CEO, recently stated that the company stands 'on the cusp of enhancing human healthspan.'
With the latest investment, L-Nutra will expand its production of therapy-based nutrition in the Middle East. The company's existing research and patent portfolio will underpin its growth in the region. The move marks a step toward broader access to its longevity and therapy-based nutrition products.
