Malta's First Adults-Only Wellness Retreat Opens with Tailored Health Programmes
Malta’s first fully integrated wellness retreat has opened its doors. Verdala Wellness Hotel offers adults-only stays with personalised health programmes at its scenic location near Rabat. The retreat blends modern therapies with Maltese cultural experiences under the guidance of expert Amber Gauci Ward. The hotel sits on a natural ridge overlooking a valley, just 20 minutes from Malta International Airport. Its design focuses on relaxation, with rooms created as ‘restorative sleep environments’ featuring wellness bars and vegan amenities.
Guests can choose between two immersive retreat formats: the Signature Retreat or the Seasonal Retreat. Both include full-board dining, with prices starting at €2,400 per room for three nights for the Signature option and €3,000 for the Seasonal Retreat. Each programme is built around five pillars—nutrition, movement, rest, emotional wellbeing, and connection. The dining experience, led by chef Victor Borg of Michelin-starred Under Grain, emphasises seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Meals are designed to reduce inflammation and support immune function. Meanwhile, the V SPA provides seven treatment rooms, a hammam, steam room, salt cave, and hydrotherapy facilities. Gauci Ward, a specialist in transformational wellness, oversees the integration of holistic therapies and advanced technologies throughout the stay.
Verdala Wellness Hotel combines luxury with tailored health programmes in a tranquil setting. The retreat’s focus on nutrition, relaxation, and cultural immersion offers guests a structured approach to wellbeing. Retreats are now available, with bookings open for both Signature and Seasonal packages.
