Man drives to police station while high on THC in Germany

A 29-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman from Zetel arrived at Varel police station on the evening of Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Officers quickly suspected the man was under the influence of drugs after he drove himself to the station in a car. The man showed clear signs of intoxication upon arrival. A preliminary drug test was conducted, which returned positive for THC. As a result, he was immediately banned from driving any further.

A blood sample was later taken to confirm the findings. The incident occurred after the pair voluntarily presented themselves at the station that evening.

The man remains under investigation following the positive test. His driving privileges have been suspended due to the confirmed presence of narcotics. The case will proceed based on the blood analysis results.
