Man in India kills four family members and his pet cat in shocking attack

A tragic incident unfolded in Sawanga village, Betul district, where a 25-year-old man allegedly killed four family members and his pet cat. Deepak Dhurve, once a bright student, is accused of murdering his parents, brother, and cat, while also attacking his young nephew. The bodies were discovered on Thursday afternoon after neighbors noticed the house had been locked all morning. Peering through a window, they saw Deepak seated beside the victims, with his injured 5-year-old nephew lying nearby. Authorities later recovered an iron rod and a lathi from the home, believed to be the weapons used. Deepak had shown academic promise, topping his Class XII exams and preparing for the CRPF recruitment test. However, some villagers claimed he had struggled with mental illness in recent years. The victims included his parents, Raju and Kamalti Dhurve, and his younger brother, Dilip. The pet cat was also found dead at the scene. The case remains under investigation, with no further official statements released as of now. The injured child is receiving medical care, while authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
