Mexico City's INAPAM cultural centres redefine ageing with vibrant activities
INAPAM operates four cultural centres in Mexico City to support healthy ageing among older adults. These facilities are situated in the Alhambra, Aragón, Cuauhtémoc, and San Francisco neighbourhoods. They aim to provide a dignified space for active participation and holistic well-being. The centres offer over 150 activities spanning education, physical exercise, culture, recreation, and skill-building. Each location tailors its programmes to the interests and needs of its participants. They are open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
To join, seniors must register during specific periods in December, March, June, and September. Required documents include proof of age, ID, INAPAM card, CURP, photos, a medical certificate, a completed form, a signed privacy notice, and payment of a recovery fee. The primary focus of these centres is to foster engagement and well-being among older adults. Access to cultural and recreational activities is designed to improve their quality of life. The programme reflects INAPAM’s commitment to supporting seniors in the community.
