By 2011, Lierhaus re-entered public life at the Golden Camera Awards, adopting a defiant stance: 'Take me as I am or leave it.' Yet the return wasn't easy. Strangers stared, and paparazzi attention made daily life feel intrusive and overwhelming. Despite the challenges, she resumed work at RTL Aktuell, insisting her core personality remained intact—though she admitted to becoming 'a little gentler and more patient.'
