New Art Exhibition Challenges Stigma Around Mental Health in Aschaffenburg

A new traveling exhibition, Soul on Display: Art for Mental Health Awareness, will open at Aschaffenburg City Library on March 30, 2026. Running until April 30, the show features linocut prints created by individuals who have faced personal crises. The works aim to share diverse experiences and spark conversations about mental health equity.

The exhibition is organised by Untermain Mentally Strong, a project group under the Psychosocial Working Group (PSAG). This local network supports people dealing with mental health or addiction issues across Aschaffenburg and Miltenberg districts. Their goal is to challenge stigma and promote inclusion through art and dialogue.

During the event, an information desk will offer details on regional support and self-help services. Visitors can also speak directly with experts and peer support workers on April 14 and 15, 2026.

As of March 2026, Aschaffenburg remains the only confirmed host for the exhibition. No other German cities or libraries have announced plans to feature Soul on Display in the near future.

The exhibition will run for a full month, giving visitors time to engage with the artwork and available resources.
