New paramedic-obstetric station opens in rural Krasnodar Territory

A new paramedic-obstetric station has opened in the village of Shcherbinovskoye, Krasnodar Territory. The facility will serve 420 residents, including more than 70 children, as part of a wider effort to improve rural healthcare access. The station was constructed under the regional programme Healthcare Expansion, a key component of the national project Long and Active Life. Its purpose is to bring essential medical services closer to remote communities.

Fully equipped with modern tools, the facility meets all sanitary requirements. It will offer routine and emergency care, preventive check-ups, examinations, and vaccinations. This opening follows plans to build 14 similar stations in 2025, with licensing and official launches set for 2026. Additionally, four general practitioner offices are expected to become operational next year. Irina Vyazovskaya, First Deputy Minister of Health for Krasnodar Territory, emphasised that the project’s main aim is to provide comfortable conditions for delivering quality healthcare in hard-to-reach areas.

The new station in Shcherbinovskoye marks another step in expanding medical access across Kuban’s rural districts. Residents will now receive specialised care without travelling long distances. Further facilities are set to open in the coming year.
