New Relief Hub Opens to Offer Warmth, Childcare, and Volunteer Support

A new relief hub has opened to support those in need, offering warmth, childcare, and volunteer assistance. Alena Zharkevich, representing the volunteer centre Sustrecha (Meeting), announced the launch of the initiative. She thanked Belarusians for their donations and solidarity in making it possible.

The hub provides a safe space for people to rest, look after their children, and access help from volunteers. Zharkevich emphasised that the project reflects strong unity within the Belarusian diaspora.

Beyond practical aid, she also stressed the importance of moral support in difficult times. Simple gestures like kind words and encouraging thoughts, she noted, play a vital role for those facing hardship.

The initiative relies on community contributions and volunteer efforts. It aims to meet immediate needs while fostering connection among those affected. The hub remains open to anyone seeking assistance.
