NHS targets £20bn waste with AI-driven analytics at London fraud summit

A senior panel on reducing NHS waste through advanced analytics will take place at London's Counter Fraud Conference. The event, hosted by healthcare data firm Pulselight, aims to explore how technology can cut inefficiencies costing the health service £20 billion each year. Experts will discuss real-time solutions using existing NHS data to improve oversight and patient care.

The discussion, titled The Efficiency Drive: How Technology Can Detect and Prevent Systemic Waste in the NHS, will run from 11:55 AM to 12:40 PM in the Wesley room at the QEII Centre. Irene Manautou, Pulselight's Founder and CEO, will chair the session, with contributions from Lord James Bethell and Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam.

AI-driven analytics can now identify waste patterns in seconds, allowing faster detection and prevention of systemic issues. The panel will focus on practical ways to use the NHS's own data for better resource management, enhanced patient experiences, and stronger protection of public funds.

Pulselight specialises in healthcare data analytics but has not disclosed how many NHS sites or global health systems currently use its solutions for similar savings or efficiency gains.
