Penang's First Senior Living Resort to Open in Balik Pulau by 2027
Penang’s first integrated senior living resort, Eden at Botanica CT, is set to open in Balik Pulau by July 2027. The development aims to provide a quality retirement lifestyle, blending accessibility with resort-style comforts for residents aged 60 and above. The project is a joint venture between Botanica Hills Sdn Bhd and Eden-On-The-Park Sdn Bhd. It will feature 350 purpose-built residential units, designed to accommodate both seniors and secondary residents under 60. Practical features such as wider layouts and lower switch points have been included to improve accessibility and ease of movement.
Located within a self-contained, self-sustaining township, the resort offers a retreat-like setting while remaining close to the city. Residents will have access to a dedicated care centre, lifestyle facilities, and shared recreational spaces designed to encourage social interaction and active living. A medical centre within the wider Botanica.CT township is just minutes away, ensuring convenient healthcare access. The development responds to Malaysia’s shift towards an 'aged nation', where demand for active senior living—particularly in urban areas—is steadily rising.
Eden at Botanica CT will provide a mix of independent living and support services when it opens in 2027. Its design and amenities cater specifically to the needs of older adults, offering both comfort and convenience. The resort’s location in Balik Pulau ensures a peaceful environment without sacrificing access to essential services.
