A series of joint humanitarian and educational events took place in Pervomaisk on March 26. Organised by the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Branch of the Russian Red Cross, the initiative drew over 350 local residents. The programme included first-aid training and support for families facing hardship. The events were held in partnership with the Nizhny Novgorod Region's Ministry of International and Interregional Relations and the Pervomaisk city administration. Red Cross specialists led workshops on first aid, with a dedicated session on assisting individuals with limited mobility. A charity campaign, With Kindness to People, also provided humanitarian aid to 50 families in need.

Yelena Lebednova, head of Pervomaisk's local government, thanked the organisers for their focus on the district and the strong turnout from residents. Tatiana Grinevich, chair of the regional Red Cross branch, stressed how such initiatives help build a culture of mutual support in society.

Olga Guseva, the region's Minister of International and Interregional Relations, highlighted the importance of ongoing cooperation between authorities and public organisations. The events mark the first of their kind in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast since 2023, forming part of a wider regional effort to strengthen humanitarian ties. The initiative combined practical training with direct aid for vulnerable families. Over 350 participants gained first-aid skills while 50 households received essential support. Organisers plan to expand similar activities across the region in the future.
