Regensburg's free outdoor fitness programme returns with new workouts in 2026
Regensburg’s popular free fitness programme, Regensburg Goes Fit, will return in 2026. The initiative offers outdoor workouts for all ages and fitness levels, with no sign-up needed. This year’s edition introduces new activities alongside long-standing favourites. The programme kicks off on June 7 at Oberer Wörth and runs for eight Sundays until July 26. Sessions will take place every Sunday at 5:00 PM, featuring a fresh addition: Cross Athletics, led by trainer Lukas Baumann. If rain or storms disrupt plans, organisers will move activities indoors where possible.
High-Intensity Training with Chris Siebert and yoga with Jürgen Feigl will return as regular options. Participants can also get a free bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) on June 7 and July 19 to track body composition. A second location, Burgweinting Goes Fit, will host daily sessions from June 11 to July 30 at 6:00 PM. The programme wraps up with a small awards ceremony on July 26 to recognise attendees’ efforts.
Both Oberer Wörth and Burgweinting locations will provide free access to all sessions. No registration is required, and the schedule includes a mix of new and returning fitness classes. The final event on July 26 will mark the end of this year’s programme.
