Salix Launches 2026 GI Health Scholarships for Students with Chronic Conditions

Bausch Health Companies Inc. and Salix Pharmaceuticals have launched the 2026 Salix Gastrointestinal Health Scholars Program. The initiative, now in its seventh year, offers financial support to students managing GI disorders and liver diseases while pursuing higher education.

The program will provide 10 scholarships of up to $10,000 each for the 2026-2027 academic year. Eligible applicants include undergraduate, graduate, and working or single-parent students attending two- or four-year colleges, universities, or vocational schools.

To apply, students must complete an online form, submit reference letters, and write an essay about their condition and the impact of healthcare providers. The deadline for submissions is May 6, 2026, with successful candidates notified in the summer.
