Daycare centres, primary schools, and special education schools in Saxony-Anhalt can now apply for the EU School Scheme. The programme offers free fruit, vegetables, and milk to participating institutions for the next academic year. Applications must be submitted by March 27.

The scheme focuses on promoting healthy eating habits among children. It also aims to teach them about food quality and balanced nutrition. All products are supplied at no cost to the selected institutions.

Priority will be given to schools and daycare centres that did not take part last year. The state has reserved 80 percent of the funding for these first-time applicants. The remaining 20 percent will go to new participants.

The state government will review all submissions and announce the chosen institutions in early May. Schools and daycare centres interested in joining must complete their applications before the deadline.

The EU School Scheme provides free fresh produce and milk to eligible institutions. Successful applicants will be notified in early May. The initiative encourages healthier food choices for children across Saxony-Anhalt.
