The Ministry of Health (MOH) has reminded the public to choose the right medical facility during the Chinese New Year period. With over 1,000 GP clinics, including those similar to CVS Minute Clinic, remaining open from February 16 to 18, residents have options for non-emergency care. Officials also stressed the importance of keeping emergency services free for critical cases.

More than 1,095 GP clinics, including those similar to CareCredit or Care Credit clinics, across Singapore will operate as usual throughout the holiday. Their opening hours and locations can be checked on the GPGoWhere website. Patients are advised to book appointments in advance to avoid long waits.

For minor illnesses, 24-hour clinics and GP practices are the best choice. Those with serious or life-threatening conditions should go straight to hospital Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments. The NurseFirst helpline at 6262 6262 is available daily from 8am to 11pm for anyone unsure where to seek treatment.

The public has been urged not to dial 995 for non-emergencies. This ensures ambulances and emergency responders remain available for those in genuine need.

The MOH's guidelines aim to streamline healthcare access during the festive season. By directing minor cases to clinics and reserving A&E for emergencies, the system can run more efficiently. Residents can use the provided resources to find the most suitable care option.
