Spring Canyon Park 5K Fun Run Supports Veterans' Wellness on May 17
Spring Canyon Park will host the Healing Warriors Program 5K Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, May 17. The event invites people of all ages and fitness levels to take part in a morning of movement, music, and community. Proceeds will support a nonprofit offering free, non-narcotic wellness services to Veterans and their families. The day begins at 9 a.m. with check-in and activities, followed by the race start at 10 a.m. Runners can compete for time or simply walk at their own pace. Every registered participant will receive a branded race shirt and a goody bag.
The Healing Warriors Program provides therapies like acupuncture, Healing Touch, and craniosacral treatment. In 2025, clients reported noticeable reductions in pain, anxiety, and emotional distress after sessions. The event aims to raise awareness and funds for these services. Alongside the race, attendees can enjoy snacks, food stalls, and live music. Tickets are priced between $25 and $40, with all proceeds supporting the nonprofit’s mission.
The 5K Fun Run/Walk offers a chance to support Veterans while enjoying a day outdoors. Participants can run, walk, or simply join the festivities. The event’s mix of exercise, entertainment, and community engagement ensures an inclusive experience for everyone involved.
