Swift medical response saves 73-year-old stroke patient in Ussuriysk

Doctors in Ussuriysk have saved a 73-year-old man after he suffered a stroke. The incident marks the second time in Primorsky Krai that rapid medical intervention has averted a potential tragedy. The man was discovered with clear signs of a stroke, including slurred speech and paralysis on the left side of his body. His acquaintance raised the alarm after the patient managed to utter a single word: 'Bad'.

An ambulance crew arrived within 19 minutes but had to force their way into the locked apartment. Medical workers immediately examined the patient and consulted a neurosurgeon via telemedicine. Recognising the urgency, they decided to rush him to Vladivostok for emergency surgery.

Doctors stressed that with strokes, every minute is critical. The swift response in this case mirrors a similar incident in Vladivostok in April. The patient was transported to Vladivostok for urgent treatment. His survival depended on the quick actions of those around him and the medical team. This case highlights the importance of immediate action in stroke emergencies.
