Vienna's New Vet Clinic Treats Exotic Pets and Zoo Animals Alike

A new veterinary clinic has opened near Haus des Meeres in Vienna's Mariahilf district. While it specialises in exotic animals, it also welcomes dogs, cats, and small mammals from the local community.

The clinic's main focus is on caring for unusual species, including those from the nearby Aqua Terra Zoo. Recently, its team performed an ultrasound on 'Puppi', a long-term resident sea turtle at the zoo.

Advanced diagnostic tools, such as digital X-ray and ultrasound, are available for all patients. Despite its expertise in exotic care, a large number of cases still come from Vienna's pet owners.

The facility now provides specialised treatment for a wide range of animals. Both zoo residents and household pets can access high-quality medical services under one roof. The clinic's dual focus aims to meet the needs of both exotic and domestic species.
