Waldshut's Alcohol Awareness Week 2026 Tackles Risks and Responsible Drinking
Waldshut District will host Alcohol Awareness Week 2026 from Monday, June 15, to Saturday, June 20. The event aims to promote responsible drinking and highlight the risks of alcohol misuse. Under the slogan 'Together for Greater Awareness', organisers will offer talks, training, and social activities to encourage healthier choices. The week begins on Monday, June 15, with a Blue Cross event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on reducing or quitting alcohol. The following day, the Psychiatric Treatment Center in Waldshut will deliver an expert lecture on the dangers of alcohol consumption.
On Wednesday, June 17, professionals can attend a session on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). That evening, an alcohol-free cocktail gathering and a film screening will take place at Albrecht Cinema. An online training for those working with children from addiction-affected families follows on Thursday, June 18. The campaign wraps up on Saturday, June 20, with a public information event at Conrad-Gröver-Platz. Running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., it will provide resources and support for those seeking help. Throughout the week, organisers will emphasise early intervention and community support for individuals struggling with alcohol.
Alcohol Awareness Week 2026 will bring together experts, professionals, and the public to address alcohol-related challenges. The programme includes educational sessions, social events, and direct access to support services. Organisers hope the initiative will foster better understanding and encourage responsible behaviour around alcohol.
