Wolfsburg man accused of kicking paramedic during forced psychiatric transfer

A 59-year-old man from Wolfsburg has been accused of assaulting a paramedic during a forced medical transfer. The incident took place at the Wolfsburg police station while officers attempted to move him to a psychiatric facility under an official order. The situation began when authorities ordered the man’s transport to the AWO Psychiatric Center in Königslutter. Upon arrival at the police station, he refused to enter the ambulance voluntarily. Officers then placed him in a medical transport chair to load him into the vehicle.

During the transfer, the man lashed out with his right shin. The kick struck a female paramedic in the pelvic area. Despite the attack, the medic did not sustain any injuries. Police have since launched legal proceedings against the man. He now faces charges for assaulting law enforcement officers and emergency personnel.

The man remains under investigation for the assault. Authorities confirmed that the paramedic involved did not require medical treatment. The case will proceed through the legal system under the relevant charges.
