Yakutia's bottled water passes safety tests with 95.4% compliance in 2025

A recent inspection of bottled water in Yakutia has revealed that nearly all samples met safety standards. Out of those tested in 2025, only 4.6% failed to comply with regulations. The findings highlight both the overall quality of the region's bottled water and areas needing attention.

The checks, carried out by Rospotrebnadzor, focused on nitrate levels, pesticide traces, and toxic elements. Every tested sample passed these requirements. However, some issues were found in physicochemical and microbiological parameters, accounting for 1.2% and 3.4% of violations respectively.

Water dispensers, if poorly maintained, can introduce bacterial or viral risks. Experts also stressed the importance of correct storage, urging consumers and retailers to follow manufacturer guidelines. When selecting bottled water, buyers are advised to examine packaging, read labels carefully, and look for the 'Honest Sign' digital certification.

The exact number of manufacturers inspected in Yakutia this year remains undisclosed by authorities.

The results confirm that most bottled water in Yakutia adheres to safety norms. Still, a small portion of products showed irregularities in microbiological and physicochemical aspects. Consumers are encouraged to stay vigilant about storage and labelling to ensure water safety.
