Yakutsk's SMART Clinic Opens as a Healthcare Game-Changer in Siberia

Yakutsk’s newest healthcare facility, the SMART outpatient clinic, officially opened its doors on November 24, 2022. The five-storey building spans over 8,800 square meters and was constructed as part of a public-private partnership between VIS Group and the regional government. The clinic was funded primarily by Gazprombank, which covered 60% of the project’s costs. Its modern design includes four elevators, advanced security systems, and full climate control to ensure patient comfort.

The facility offers a wide range of medical services, including adult and pediatric outpatient care, a women’s health centre, and diagnostic and therapeutic units. It also houses a laboratory, radiology and rehabilitation departments, an urgent care room, a day hospital, and a call centre. Once fully operational, the clinic will manage up to 600 patient visits per shift and serve 55,000 registered patients. VIS Group will remain responsible for maintaining the building’s engineering systems until 2030. An on-site emergency medical substation is set to begin operations the day after the clinic’s opening.

The new clinic significantly expands healthcare capacity in Yakutsk. With its advanced infrastructure and broad medical services, it aims to improve access to treatment for thousands of residents. The facility’s long-term maintenance and emergency support further ensure its role as a key healthcare provider in the region.
